LaShauna Carr showed an interest in design at age 9, when she became fashion editor of her 4th grade class newspaper. She attended Fashion Industries High School and began a preparing for a future career in the arts. Her first internship was at Worth Inc. as a fashion design intern at age 15. She was accepted at Syracuse University and majored in theater design. At Syracuse she took courses in Costume, Fashion History, Architecture, African American Studies and Lighting Design.
LaShauna graduated cum laude and pursued a career as a costume designer and seamstress. Clients includes Parsons Dance, Hasbro Inc., and Toys R Us Times Square. Internship experience includes Syracuse Stage Craft Shop, Niche Media (Gotham, Boston Commons, Vegas, Hamptons magazine.)

Green Point Bank Scholarship, Black Retailers Action Group Scholar, J.J. Thomas Outstanding Student Award, Who's Who Among America's College Students, GE Emerging Student Leader Award, Marcia Mohr Outstanding Female in the Dramatic Arts and Black Box Players Best Costume Design 20th season.
LaShauna lives in her hometown of NYC with her husband Michael and son MJ.
